Nestled in the heart of the community, George’s Bakery & Café is more than just a place for fresh-baked goods—it’s a tribute to tradition, family, and the joy of sharing. George, owner and executive chef of the renowned Ikaros Greek Restaurant, grew up surrounded by the comforting scents of freshly baked bread and zaatar, learning to bake alongside his mother and grandmother. At the café, he blends Greek heritage with a nod to Arabic culture, where coffee is more than a drink—it’s a symbol of hospitality, respect, and connection. Each cup of strong, fragrant coffee and every handmade pastry invites guests to slow down, savor the moment, and feel at home.
Our coffee
Founded in 1999 by the Virzi family, Due Torri Coffee is based in Oakland, California. Their passion for coffee goes back generations to their family’s coffee farm in Antigua, Guatemala. They roast in small batches on a vintage cast iron roaster and thoughtfully source specialty coffees from around the world, offering a full range of roast levels—from light to dark. With deep respect for the hard work that goes into producing coffee long before it reaches them, they focus on quality and sustainability to continue delivering outstanding coffee, cup after cup, year after year.
